Prince of Slytherin Wiki

Fred Weasley is a Pureblood wizard and the twin brother of George Weasley

Biography[]

Family Lineage[]

Fred Weasley is descended from House Weasley through his father’s line. House Weasley is a Noble House that came to England in 1066 as part of the invasion of William the Conqueror. House Weasley is also a member of the Sacred 28, and has held a Wizengamot seat under that name. They were particularly close to House Malfoy until 1790 when a public feud between them led to the two Houses declaring a mutual Family Enmity and causing House Weasley to suffer financial difficulties, thus losing their Wizengamot seat.

Fred is also descended from the Prewett family through his mother’s line. Currently, not much is known about the Prewett family, except that his uncles, Fabian and Gideon, were killed in the First Wizarding War.

Early Life[]

Fred grew up in the burrow with his parents and siblings, degnoming the garden, playing Quidditch, and getting into mischief with his twin brother George. He starts Hogwarts and is sorted into Gryffindor in 1989. Fred and his twin soon become known among the Slytherins as the Weasley Terrors. They come into possesion of the Marauders Map.

Book 1 - Prince of Slytherin[]

Fred and George befriend fellow Gryffindor and prankster Jim Potter early in his first year, pranking Slytherins together, with Jim's twin brother Harry becoming their main target.

Harry's parseltongue conversations with the castle's snakes allow him to discover the existence of the Marauder's Map, which he uses to blackmail and bribe the twins into leaving him and Theo Nott alone.[1]

The Weasley twins stay at Hogwarts over the Christmas holidays alongside their brothers Ron and Percy, during which time they befriend Harry and hold a snowball fight with him and Theo. The fight is cut short by Harry when the Weasley's start trying to knock Professor Quirrel's turban off.[2]

Book 3 - The Death-Eater Menace[]

A small difference between them, which Harry uses to differentiate them, is that George has a tiny mole next to his left eye.[3]
